Wesley Boehm
Oboe & English Horn

Dr. Wesley Boehm is an active and in-demand teacher and performer throughout
Central Illinois. He completed his DMA in Oboe Performance and Literature from the
University of Illinois where he also served as a teaching assistant. Prior to attending the University of Illinois, Wesley received a master’s degree from the University of Kansas, where he also served as a teaching assistant, and a bachelor’s degree in Music Performance from the University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire. Outside of teaching, Wesley is an in-demand performer and chamber musician throughout Central Illinois on oboe, English horn, and Baroque oboe. He has performed with the Kansas City Symphony, Springfield (MO) Symphony Orchestra, Champaign-Urbana Symphony Orchestra, Illinois Symphony Orchestra, Heartland Festival Orchestra, among others. When not teaching, practicing, or making reeds, Wesley enjoys running with his dog, Felix.
