Percussion
Solo Works
One short solo on each of two instruments: timpani, xylophone, or snare. Maximum of 4
minutes total. No accompanist is needed. Bring 2 extra copies of the music to the
audition.
Sight Reading:
On snare, timpani, and xylophone.
Scales:
On xylophone: two octaves each.
- Major Scales of C, F, B-flat, E-flat, G, D, A
- Minor Scales of A, D, E.
- Chromatic Scales begin on your lowest comfortable note and play
2 to 3 octaves up and down.
