Dennis received his undergraduate degree from the American Conservatory of Music in Chicago and his graduate degree from the University of Illinois.

Dennis has enjoyed teaching private lessons for over 35 years. He teaches all percussion instruments and performs professionally. His specialities are jazz drum set and mallet instruments.

Dennis is also a member of the marketing team at Research Press Publishers. He is the proud father of three daughters. His wife, Edee, is an Education Specialist with NCSA. Dennis and Edee both enjoy traveling, espeically to visit their granddaughters in Durham, North Carolina and Evanston, Illinois.
