Mary received her Bachelor's Degree in Music Education at Illinois Wesleyan University, and earned her Master's of Music in Applied Flute from the University of Illinois. She has also done post-graduate work at the U of I, aiming towards a D.M.A. She accepts flute students of all ages and levels of ability.

Besides teaching at The Conservatory, Mary can be seen performing locally with the following organizations: Sinfonia da Camera, C-U Symphony, The Prairie Ensemble, the Mark Foutch Band, and the Danville Symphony Orchestra. She is a member of Delta Omicron, the National Flute Association, and the local Tuesday Morning Music Club.
