The Conservatory of Central Illinois is the only not-for-profit community music school serving downstate Illinois. Located in downtown Champaign, The Conservatory opened its doors for instruction in August 1986. In the time since its founding, The Conservatory has taken its place as a leading cultural institution contributing to the quality of life in Champaign-Urbana.

 ECIYO Concert!

The annual East Central Illinois Youth Orchestra Holiday Concert will be held 7:30 p.m. Monday, January 16 at the Smith Memorial Hall on the campus of the University of Illinois. This concert is free and open to the public.

Some of the outstanding music that will be presented is the Overture to Coriolan by Beethovan, the Symphony # 104 in D by Hayden, Jubilee from Symphonic Sketches by Chadwick, the Overture to Candide by Bernstein, and the March Slav by Tchaikovsky.
